Good morning Retro Gamers!
I hope you enjoy this week’s issue! You’ll notice this week I added a “It Came From The Tube” section to the newsletter. I added this because there’s plenty of retro gaming content out there and I want to do my best to bring it to those who may not have known about it before. My goal with this newsletter has always been to bring a mix of original content and also be a tour guide of sorts to those who may not be as connected into the retro gaming community.
Thank you and have a great rest of your week!
Chavy

Pokémon Yellow Update
I’ll be honest my gaming has been slacking as of late. I’ll chalk it up to nice weather and my attempted to get toned for beach season. But thankfully I’ve been playing Pokémon Yellow and I’ve made some serious strides in the last few days!
While I’m currently in between badges, I’ve been leveling up my crew which consists of
Lvl 52 Pikachu
Lvl 36 Charizard
Lvl 32 Venusaur
Lvl 33 Snorlax
Lvl 31 Hitmonlee
And now as of Sunday night a Lvl 10 Squirtle!
Getting all 3 starter Pokémon is something younger Chavy thought was impossible (and before you give me flack, I only had Red & Blue when I was a kid).
As I said I’m currently in between badges right now and I could probably expedite my play time if I looked up a strategy guide. But where’s the fun in that? I am loving just walking around city to city peacocking it up and seeing who dare challenges Chavy and his murderer’s row of Pokémon.

Twisted Metal Black
21 years ago this week one of my all time favorites was released in Twisted Metal Black. The series did a total 180 from the previous two installments now that it was back in the hands of creator David Jaffe.
The stories in this game were dark and gruesome. And while I could go on to describe (and possibly butcher) a few of my favorites, I’ll just leave you this video to watch and either take a trip down memory lane or introduce you to the horror of Twisted Metal Black!
ARGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
My friends and I had a retro game night this past weekend. Most if it was a grand ol’ time until Tom suggested we play Waluigi’s Taco Stand. I made it about 2 minutes into playing before I gave up. I know this playthrough embedded below will make it seem simple enough, and it may be. The claws were flowing, and patience was less than normal so I may be in the minority on this.
Great job, although some people may think retro games are outdated, they can still be appealing to some. They can provide a sense of intimacy and comfort that many other games cannot offer.
